Webitech 1.2.53-beta: The Methodology Center Shows How We Really Evaluate Websites

Webitech continues to evolve from a website audit tool into a broader platform for evaluating a company’s digital footprint.

As the number of checks grows, however, one important question becomes increasingly relevant:

How does Webitech actually arrive at its results?

That is why we have significantly expanded our public methodology and introduced the new Webitech Methodology Center.

Its purpose is simple:

to explain more transparently what Webitech checks, why each signal matters and how users should interpret their audit results.

A Single Score Is Not Enough

A single number can be useful for quick orientation.

For example:

Webitech Score: 8.4 / 10

But the number alone does not tell the whole story.

Website owners need to understand:

  • what was actually checked,
  • which areas passed,
  • where problems were detected,
  • why a particular check matters,
  • whether something is critical or simply a recommendation,
  • and what can be done to improve the result.

That is why we have decided to make the Webitech methodology increasingly transparent.

The complete overview is available in the new Methodology Center.

How Is the Webitech Score Built?

Webitech does not evaluate a website using a single parameter.

The audit works with a broad range of technical, content, security and quality signals that are then organized into individual evaluation areas.

Webitech may evaluate areas such as:

  • technical condition,
  • SEO,
  • performance,
  • mobile and responsive readiness,
  • security,
  • trustworthiness,
  • structured data,
  • content,
  • social footprint,
  • domain and email trust,
  • accessibility,
  • AI readiness,
  • AI Visibility,
  • AI Agent Readiness.

You can explore the main areas on the What We Assess page.

The result is not simply a list of detected problems.

Webitech aims to place individual signals into a broader context and convert them into a clear and understandable assessment.

Not Every Check Has the Same Importance

One important part of the methodology is severity.

A minor missing metadata field should not carry the same importance as a serious security or indexing problem.

Webitech therefore distinguishes between different result types:

Passed – the check completed successfully.

Warning – something was detected that deserves attention.

Failed / Issue – a problem that may have a meaningful impact.

Information – useful information that may not affect the score.

Not measurable – the check could not be reliably performed in the current situation.

This distinction helps prevent every detected detail from appearing as an equally serious problem.

A Public Registry of Checks

The Methodology Center also includes a more detailed overview of the checks used by Webitech.

For individual signals, we aim to transparently show information such as:

  • evaluation area,
  • check type,
  • typical severity,
  • why the signal matters,
  • whether it affects the score,
  • relevant technical standards or documentation.

This is important because Webitech should not behave like a black box that simply produces a score without explanation.

Users should be able to understand:

why Webitech evaluates a particular signal and what the result is based on.

Explore the check registry in the Methodology Center.

How to Interpret Audit Results

Another important part of the methodology is understanding what the result actually means.

An automated audit cannot replace the complete work of a developer, security specialist, SEO professional or legal expert.

What it can do is quickly identify a large number of publicly observable signals and help users understand which areas deserve attention first.

Webitech therefore increasingly works with priorities.

Instead of presenting only a long list of findings, the audit can help users understand:

what should be fixed first

and which findings are informational only.

More information is available in the How to Interpret Results section.

CZ and Global Methodologies Can Differ

Webitech works with two evaluation modes:

CZ

and

Global.

The main technical principles remain the same, but some signals may be specific to a particular environment.

The CZ mode can also use Czech business context and publicly available local registers.

The Global mode focuses on signals that can be applied internationally.

This distinction matters because Webitech is not intended to remain only a Czech website audit tool.

Our goal is to build a methodology that can also be used for international websites.

Transparent Methodology Builds Trust

If Webitech evaluates the trustworthiness, technical quality and transparency of other websites, it should follow the same principles itself.

That is why we have decided to make our methodology more publicly accessible.

We do not want to say only:

“Your website scored 7.8.”

We want to be able to explain:

what we checked, what we found and why the result was produced.

We believe this level of transparency will become increasingly important.

Webitech 1.2.53-beta Also Strengthens the Platform Itself

The latest update is not focused only on adding new features.

Part of the development process is also continuously improving Webitech itself.

The update therefore includes additional technical and security improvements, better language handling, stronger SEO consistency, improvements to public audit results and other signals that Webitech also evaluates on other websites.

The principle is simple:

if we recommend something to other websites, we want to gradually apply the same standard to Webitech itself.

Webitech Is More Than an SEO Checker

The goal of Webitech is not to create another tool that checks only a handful of SEO tags.

A company’s digital footprint is much broader.

It includes:

technology → discoverability → security → trust → accessibility → AI → user experience

That is why, alongside the main audit, we continue to expand the collection of free Webitech tools.

You can also explore public audit results on the Webitech Results page.
